If you would like to eat, £10 meal tickets will be available to purchase at the bar for hot food provided by The Log Cabin. The awards presentation will follow at approximately 7:45 PM. This Saturday March 28th we have another massive home fixture at Borough Park and to top it all it's Non League Day too so we've got some great offers. Family, friends and a sprinkling of Workington Reds representatives turned out to say a fond farewell to former groundsman, Jeff Curwen.

It is with deep sadness that we report the passing of our former, long-serving groundsman, Jeff Curwen.

The semi final draw for the Cumberland Cup has presented Reds with an away tie at Westmorland League outfit, Kirkoswald.

Reds were still coming to terms with life in the Northern Premier League in the late seventies and supporters, having adapted from following a struggling Fourth Division team, were now welcoming some famous non-league teams to west Cumbria.

Every Workington supporter worth his salt could give you chapter and verse on the 1958 cup tie versus Manchester United but that is just one of ninety-three FA Cup matches we have played in the competition at Borough Park.

NPL chairman, Mark Harris, was on the guest list for the Ilkeston Town game and was accompanied by his Isthmian League counterpart part, Nick Robinson, and his wife, Andrea.

Any Reds supporters, born after 1983, probably missed out on one fantastic Borough Park experience.

It is twelve months since we lost our good friend Gary Messenger, who will always be remembered by the Workington Reds family.

During our time as a Football League club, we experienced some wonderful matches in the Football League Cup.  Over seventeen seasons, we established a fine reputation as cup fighters - emerging as giant killers on numerous occasions, holding First Division opposition three times and actually knocking out a top flight opponent in a replay on their own ground.
