The semi final draw for the Cumberland Cup has presented Reds with an away tie at Westmorland League outfit, Kirkoswald.

During our time as a Football League club, we experienced some wonderful matches in the Football League Cup. Over seventeen seasons, we established a fine reputation as cup fighters - emerging as giant killers on numerous occasions, holding First Division opposition three times and actually knocking out a top flight opponent in a replay on their own ground.

Borough Park became our new home in late 1937 but the first team didn’t win too many trophies to adorn the boardroom at HQ.

Following our election to the Football League in early June, 1951, the Workington supporters eagerly awaited the publication of the fixture list for Reds’ inaugural season in the Third Division North.


Borough Park memories

Review of the Year
It might be rather dramatic to describe 2025 as ‘annus horribilis’ but it has certainly been a year we will all be keen to forget. It has been a difficult twelve months for the club – on the pitch, at least.


East meets west
Saturday’s journey to North East Lincolnshire proved to be Reds’ longest trip of the season and took us to an area of the country we haven’t visited since playing at Grimsby Town’s Blundell Park back in 1971.


Workington Reds Prepare to Move to Fibrus Community Stadium During New Community Stadium Construction
As preparations progress for the construction of the new community stadium, Workington Town RLFC and Workington Reds AFC have been working closely to ensure the Fibrus Community Stadium is ready to serve as the Reds’ temporary home throughout the build period.
