MATCH REPORT: Workington AFC 1-1 Warrington Town
A fully committed, high-energy performance probably deserved a better reward than the point Workington obtained, but the majority, of another bumper Borough Park crowd, would have probably settled for a draw beforehand.

MATCH REPORT: Workington AFC 0-1 Guiseley AFC
If Guiseley could have hand-picked a fixture to kick-start their season, I’m sure they would have opted for Workington. They have pieced together an impressive record against the Cumbrians over the years and Borough Park has proved a happy hunting ground in the past.

MATCH PREVIEW: New manager bounce
Reds and Guiseley go into Tuesday’s Premier Division encounter hoping they can continue their improved run of results following a recent change of managership.

MATCH PREVIEW: Olympian effort needed
Reds will spend much of Saturday travelling up and down the M6 with an important NPL Premier Division fixture sandwiched in between.

MATCH REPORT: Workington AFC 3-2 Hyde United
A home win at last and one achieved from a thoroughly entertaining encounter at Borough Park, making Billy Barr’s first game in charge a rather special occasion.

🚨 SIGNING ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨
We’re delighted to welcome Tyler Magloire to Workington AFC on non-contract terms!

MATCH PREVIEW: Reds hoping for a fresh start
Reds have been playing without a permanent manager in recent weeks, following the departure of Darren Edmondson a month ago. But our opponents have also been operating under similar circumstances with both Whitehaven (Cumberland Cup) and Stocksbridge Park Steels (NPL) also ‘managerless’ at the time. It should be pointed out that Hyde United do have a managerial team in place but Martin Coyne, Harry Bunn and Co are relatively new to the job having taken over from the Nick Spoo

CLUB NEWS: Welcome Billy
It was certainly a standard Cumbrian welcome as new manager Billy Barr took charge of his first training session at a damp cold Newton Rigg.

ANNOUNCEMENT - First Team Manager
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Billy Barr as First Team Manager.

MATCH REPORT: Stocksbridge Park Steels 0-1 Workington AFC
Workington emerged narrow but deserved winners in what was their first visit to the Bracken Moor Stadium for twenty-one years.

MATCH PREVIEW: Steel towns ‘derby’ renewed
It is twenty-one years since we last crossed swords with Stocksbridge Park Steels so it will be good to reacquaint with the Steels.

MATCH REPORT: Workington AFC 8-1 Whitehaven AFC
Reds cantered through to the Third Round of the Cumberland Cup, at the expense of beleaguered Whitehaven.

MATCH PREVIEW: Struggling neighbours seek cup respite
Workington and Whitehaven will be hoping to put their poor league form to one side when they launch this season’s Cumberland Cup campaign.

MATCH REPORT: Workington AFC 1-2 Gainsborough Trinity
Two cases of naïve defending mid-way through the first half and a moment of madness from skipper Dav Symington proved costly for the Reds.

MATCH PREVIEW: Reds host cup kings
It seems an eternity since Reds tasted victory against Gainsborough Trinity and it would be a major upset if this happened on Tuesday.

MATCH REPORT: Morpeth Town 2-0 Workington AFC
A déjà vu moment for caretaker manager, Brian Dawson, who, for the second time this year, found himself in charge of team affairs at Morpeth’s Craik Park.

MATCH PREVIEW: Reds hope to ambush The Highwaymen
The NPL Premier Division table doesn’t make good reading for supporters of both Morpeth Town and Workington.

CLUB STATEMENT
The club has this evening parted company with Manager Darren Edmondson following the poor start to the season.

Re-arranged dates
The Premier Division home matches against Gainsborough Trinity and Guiseley have been re-scheduled.
