Workington AFC are delighted to announce that First Team Manager Billy Barr has agreed a two-year contract extension, keeping him at the club until May 2029.

We are equally pleased to confirm that Assistant Manager Lee Andrews, Goalkeeping Coach Billy Redden and Physio Caitlin Gribbin have all committed their futures to the Reds, ensuring continuity across the first team management and support staff.

Since taking charge, Billy and his team have worked tirelessly to develop the squad, establish a strong team spirit and build a competitive, hard-working side that supporters can be proud of.

The progress made on the pitch, together with the commitment and professionalism shown behind the scenes, has given the Board great confidence in the direction the club is heading.

With the club looking ahead to its return to our new facility, the Board is determined to establish strong foundations and long-term stability throughout Workington AFC.

Securing the future of Billy and his staff is a key part of that vision, providing the continuity and leadership needed as we prepare for an exciting new chapter in the club’s history.

While significant progress has already been made, the ambition doesn’t stop here. The Board believes the work undertaken so far provides a platform for further success, with everyone sharing the determination to keep moving Workington AFC forward.

The foundations are being laid. The ambition is clear. And we’re building for the future, together.
