We're Hiring: Head of Youth Development (Part-time)
About the role
Workington AFC is looking for a passionate, organised leader to head up our youth pathway for girls and boys aged 8–18.
This is an exciting time to join us. As well as leading our established elite pathway, you'll support the launch of a brand-new grassroots programme. Together they will form one connected club pathway where every young player in the area has a place to play, develop and progress, and the best have a clear route towards senior football at the club.
What you'll do
Lead coaching standards and player development across all age groups
Build our new grassroots programme from the ground up
Support recruitment into our Elite pathway
Support and develop our team of coaches and volunteers
Work with the first team, families, schools and local partners
What we're looking for
UEFA B Licence (Desirable)
Experience coaching or organising youth football
A commitment to girls' and boys' football in equal measure
Strong organisation and communication skills
Current FA DBS and Safeguarding Children certificate, or willingness to obtain them
What we offer
A part-time paid role of 12 hours per week
Support towards your UEFA B Licence if required
