Keith Nelson RIP
It is with deep sadness that we report the passing of former Director, Keith Nelson, who died earlier this week.
Keith, a long-term supporter of the club, became heavily involved in the late seventies and was appointed to the Board in October, 1977 serving as a director for nine seasons.

He also became club secretary, succeeding Mary Laurie who had held the post during our latter Football League years.
Keith stepped down from the Board in December, 1985 but returned to the club for a short spell during the 2013-14 season.
In between he was associated with several sporting clubs in the county, most notably Barrow AFC, with the highlight of many years at Holker Street being their FA Trophy triumph at Wembley in 1990.
He was also involved with Whitehaven RLFC for a while and two of the local cricket clubs.
A keen sports enthusiast, Keith, who lived in Whitehaven, is survived by his wife Margaret, a son and daughter.
