BOROUGH PARK MEMORIES: The first Football League game
Following our election to the Football League in early June, 1951, the Workington supporters eagerly awaited the publication of the fixture list for Reds’ inaugural season in the Third Division North.

MATCH REPORT: Whitby Town 0-0 Workington AFC
The Towbar Express Stadium emerged as a green oasis in snow covered North Yorkshire after a challenging cross-country journey.

MATCH PREVIEW: Good record will count for nothing
Workington’s decent record at the Towbar Express Stadium will count for nothing on Saturday (3pm) as they attempt to obtain a first league win in nine outings. They take on a Whitby Town team who will be favourites for the points in the 14th versus 21st encounter, with the hosts attempting to complete a first ever league double at Reds expense.

Borough Park memories
Today marks the 68th anniversary of Workington’s historic FA Cup 3rd Round tie v. Matt Busby’s Manchester United team at Borough Park.
