Many Reds supporters are suggesting that Saturday’s NPL Premier Division fixture against Morpeth Town at Borough Park is a ‘must win’ game.

The semi final draw for the Cumberland Cup has presented Reds with an away tie at Westmorland League outfit, Kirkoswald.

Reds were still coming to terms with life in the Northern Premier League in the late seventies and supporters, having adapted from following a struggling Fourth Division team, were now welcoming some famous non-league teams to west Cumbria.

Reds’ bewildering season took another dramatic twist in Lincolnshire.  They avoided the late, late drama that has plagued their season, which has seen fourteen points dropped from the eighty-fifth minute onwards.
