It seems an eternity since Reds tasted victory against Gainsborough Trinity and it would be a major upset if that long wait for three points in this fixture happened on Tuesday.
But football sometimes throws up the odd, unpredictable result and the Borough Park faithful will be hoping for a touch of the unexpected in the re-arranged Premier Division encounter.

Workington last got the better of Trinity twelve years ago, ironically under Darren Edmondson’s first spell in the hot seat. That was a Conference North fixture but our previous NPL victory against Trinity was well before any of the current squad was born, 1988 in fact.
The two clubs have faced each other twenty-six times in the Northern Premier League (four wins for Reds, twelve successes for Trinity) and on eighteen occasions in Conference North (six victories for Reds, seven for Trinity).
Ahead of Tuesday’s clash Workington are rooted to the foot of the table with just 6 points whilst Russ Wilcox’s side are currently eighth with 19 points. They are prepared for another promotion push and are still in both FA Cup and Trophy.
Brian Dawson will have to make at least one change to the team which started at Morpeth on Saturday but, once again, injuries and a suspension will restrict his selection options.
Back in March, the outcome at Borough Park was 1-1 draw but Trinity emerged 3-0 winners at the Northolme twelve months ago.
Kick-off: 7.45pm
