MATCH PREVIEW: Rylands next up

As good as Saturday’s result was at Broadhurst Park, it will feel even better if we can take something from Warrington Rylands, tonight, making a fifth visit to Workington but their first to the Fibrus Community Stadium.
They have never lost to Reds in eight previous meetings and would have probably hand-picked this game after a very rare thumping at the weekend.
I think they would have been reasonably pleased with their opening four games, two wins and two narrow defeats, but Redcar Athletic upset the apple cart with that amazing 5-0 victory at Gorsey Lane on Saturday.
Rylands completed the double over us last season (0-1 and 0-3) and obtaining three points at their expense on Tuesday (7.45pm) will prove as difficult as ever.
The ‘two games a week scenario’ is certainly a challenge and resembles a hurdles race in the athletics world. You clear one obstacle and the next one looms large immediately.
The Premier Division’s current top seven, were all strongly fancied before a ball was kicked but there are, at least, another half dozen clubs who will feel that’s where they belong. The upshot, a very demanding season ahead. It is probably the toughest division at Step 3 and almost impossible to single out one club who could pull away from the rest.
Our new temporary home has yet to be blessed with a victory so the supporters could play a part for the second game under the lights.
Three games in a week will add to the strain and then the pressure eases slightly, with a few days rest before we embark on our FA Cup campaign.
Monday’s draw presented us with a home tie versus Marske United but let’s concentrate on these three easy league games first!
