CLUB NEWS: Brian Dawson

As we move onto the next chapter on the pitch it would be remiss of us not to say a few words of thanks to Brian Dawson.

Brian has had a long business relationship with the club and that will continue to grow over the coming months with some exciting developments underway.

From a First Team point of view however Brian decided prior to the appointment of a new manager that now was the right time to step away from the dugout.

His efforts during his spell alongside both Mark Fell and Darren Edmondson were sterling but add in two spells as Caretaker (alongside Billy Redden) during crucial periods and you can clearly see the importance of the role he played.

Crucial wins over Prescot and Ashton meant relegation was avoided last season and a vital 3 points at Stocksbridge last week were a fitting way for him to sign off.

Whether it's the golf course or DIY that fills your Saturday's from now on Brian you go with our thanks and best wishes.
