For the second time this season, Reds inflicted a heavy defeat on Burscough in a JPL fixture played at the St. Benedict’s campus.
Two months ago, Reds emerged 6-0 winners in a League Cup tie played at Borough Park and, once again, recorded an emphatic victory when league points were at stake.
Joe Carney (pictured) had a first half penalty saved but finished the game with the match ball after netting a hat-trick. Ryan Handford and TJ Cueto had already got their names on the scoresheet before Carney struck with his first goal before half time, adding two more after the break.

Reds were in control from start to finish and added further goals from Oscar Pickering, Joe Douglas and Harrison Rogers.
Team: Joe Rumney, Luke Routledge, Matthew Jackson, Harrison Telford, Charlie White, TJ Cueto, Ryan Handford, Ted Thomson, Jayden Fulton, Joe Carney, Harrison Rogers. Substitutes – Joe Douglas and Oscar Pickering (both used).
