Reds U23s maintained their winning start to the Lancashire League season, producing their best win of the campaign and completing a league double in the process.
They recorded an eighth successive victory to increase their lead at the top to nine points.
It was a very positive performance in difficult conditions, with the victory almost assured by half time with Reds three goals ahead. Josh Palmer netted twice before the break with Zach Benson-Lester also finding the target.
Palmer went on to complete his hat-trick whilst Dan Hill (2) and Joe Carney also got their names on the scoresheet, with the tally completed by an own-goal.
Macclesfield grabbed a consolation goal fifteen minutes before the end.
