Saturday morning’s trip to Manchester proved beneficial with the Young Reds coming out on top in a ten-goal thriller, completing a league double in the process.
AR started the goal feast after fifteen minutes and concluded the scoring in stoppage time, with Reds netting half a dozen in between.
They were 3-1 ahead by half time, increased their lead on the hour, then allowed the hosts to get back into contention before finishing the stronger with two more in the last ten minutes.
Oscar Pickering, who netted both in the home win over AR, got the first with Harrison Telford and Harrison Rogers also finding the target before the break.
Rogers (inset) grabbed his second before the home side cashed in on a bit of Reds’ complacency, scoring twice to make the score 3-4.

Ted Thomson’s brace settled matters although the tenth goal of the afternoon went to AR as Reds conceded four for the first time in their eight-match winning run.
Thankfully, though, the three points came back up the M6!
