Reds will spend much of Saturday travelling up and down the M6 with an important NPL Premier Division fixture sandwiched in between.
We renew acquaintances with Rushall Olympic in what will be our first trip to Dales Lane for seven years.
We lost the last time we made the trip to the West Midlands when Lee Andrews and Billy Redden were in charge of team matters. Reds did win there on one occasion – the opening match of the ’16-17 campaign – but probably go into Saturday’s encounter as the underdogs based on the current league standings.
Rushall are currently 15th having obtained 20 points from their sixteen matches whilst Reds returned to the foot of the table, following the mid-week results, and are eight points behind the hosts, although we have played one match fewer.
The head-to-head shows that we have won four of the previous eight encounters, Rushall have won twice in the series with two matches drawn.
Billy Barr is still without skipper, David Symington, but Charlie Barnes does return to the group.
