Favourable draw in Youth Cup

Reds have been drawn at home in the FA Youth Cup and will face neighbours Penrith in an A66 derby the week commencing 1st September.

Should they be successful in the Preliminary Round, they will have home advantage again and will face Spennymoor Town at Borough Park.

It is a repeat of the 2019 tie at Borough Park when the young Reds emerged emphatic 7-2 winners against the Bonny Blues.

The youth team began their pre-season preparations with a game versus Gretna 2008 at Raydale Park.

Workington’s first team will compete in both the FA Cup and FA Trophy this season and will learn their opponents in due course for the ties in the First Qualifying and Third Qualifying rounds respectively.
