Stay Home Record FAQ: How it works – IMPORTANT

With our Stay Home Record all set for this Saturday, May 30 from 14:30, we have had plenty of questions about how the YouTube live stream will work.

This is you go-to guide for a matchday experience like other.

What does the game consist of?

The match itself will be a live stream filled with previously unseen images, recreated with commentary from BBC Radio Cumbria reporters John Walsh and Keith Richardson; and analysis from our first-team manager Danny Grainger. Together with many fond memories from players and fans involved on the big day – 62 years ago.

How do I access the game?

If you have purchased a ticket, you will receive, by email, an exclusive Eventbrite link. This will arrive around lunchtime on Saturday. Please check your spam box to ensure you do not miss it.

You can watch the match on a PC, Laptop, Tablet or Smartphone which has internet access. Simply click the link in your email and you will be directed to the YouTube page. Alternatively, you can copy and paste the link into your web browser’s search bar.

How can I connect to my smart TV?

You can also watch the game on a smart TV. One way is to pair your smartphone to the TV and use the YouTube app.

Please set this up well in advance and ask for help from a member of your family or friend if you are unsure of how to do this. Your TV handbook will also help.

If you do not have a smartphone, you will have to type the link out, character-by-character, into your search bar on YouTube on your smart TV.

Please check you have the YouTube app installed on your TV (this usually comes as standard on most televisions).

Can I share the link with my family or friend?

If you have purchased a ticket for friend or family member, you can share the link with them by forwarding the email to them.

However, we ask please do this responsibly, as the project has relied on the countless hours of work from many volunteers. The project is to raise essential funds for our club and National Health Service. We only ask for £2 each.

Can I still purchase a ticket?

Yes, until 14:00 on Saturday through our Eventbrite page.

Where will I find more information or updates about the game?

Our Twitter page is the best place for that.

Thank you to everyone who has already purchased a ticket, we’ll see you at home!
