Your 2024/25 Kit has Arrived

Workington AFC are excited to announce the launch of our new 2024/25 home and away kits, setting a new precedent for the club with an engaging video launch in collaboration with Workington Transport Heritage Trust, Denis Devlin Films and Gary McKeating.

Our 2024/25 kits can now be purchased in person at Borough Park, or via our new Online Store courtesy of new kit partner, 17Sport.

As unveiled yesterday evening (Friday 31st), we are proud and excited to have partnered with the brilliant Cloud Competitions as our front of shirt kit sponsor for the upcoming season.

The Kits

Explaining the launch

Our video launch showcases the new kit’s design and features, while also paying homage to the history of the club and the town aligning with our #RichHistoryBrightFuture vision for the season.

The anticipation and excitement surrounding the new kit has been palpable among fans and players alike, with teasers and sneak peeks generating a buzz across our social media channels this week.

This launch marks a significant event for the club, symbolising a fresh start for the upcoming season and reigniting the passion and pride of the loyal fanbase.

With involvement from the Board of Directors, the new backroom staff, and the Media Team, this year’s launch focussed around our tagline #RichHistoryBrightFuture, celebrating our past and looking forward to our new start as a club.

Social Media plays a huge part in the success of Non-League football clubs nowadays, so it felt important to push ourselves to deliver something different and exciting for this year’s launch. I’ve seen the benefit of strong kit launches first-hand last season, highlighting the impact that fan-involvement can have in delivering high sales numbers and increased online engagement. Hopefully fans can identify with the theme of the launch, allowing us to recognise and celebrate the history of this fantastic club, but also be excited by the new journey we’re all embarking on together.

Our thanks go to Workington Transport Heritage Trust for the use of their beautiful vintage bus for the occasion, Denis Devlin and Gary McKeating for capturing the vision and delivering a fantastic launch video and photos, and both fans and players who took time out of their Bank Holiday weekend to help!

As a club we are excited to be working with Puma, one of the world’s biggest sportswear brands through 17Sport. The kits look fantastic with the classic red but also a return to a traditional sky blue for the away kit albeit with a modern twist, something that ties in nicely with our new main sponsor.

There is of course a fresh range of leisure wear available too via our club shop or the new online portal.

We really hope you enjoyed our launch video for the big reveal. It was nice to do something completely different. We were keen to showcase a bit of Workington’s heritage and industrial past while ultimately focussing on a bright new beginning at Borough Park.

Vice Chairman, Richard Lewthwaite
