Workington Adult Inclusive team

Tonight saw the first training session for our brand new Workington AFC Adult Inclusive team.

Recently formed they will take part in the Cumberland FA Ability Counts League starting with a cup competition on October 11th in Carlisle.

The team will be coached by Mark Thompson and among the players taking to the pitch will be well known Reds fan and club volunteer Gary Austin.

Vice Chairman Richard Lewthwaite commented, “This is yet another important string to the clubs bow. Football is a game to be enjoyed by all and we are delighted to facilitate this new team taking to the pitch.

Mark has a real passion for the project and we look forward to working with him and the players. We’d also like to thank Cumberland FA for their help with the venture”
