The club would like to express our gratitude and congratulations to one of our members of Volunteer staff.

Gary Austin who in the previous season completed a feat of 100 non league grounds with the Reds as a volunteer, has been awarded the Mayors Volunteer of the Year Award.

Speaking to Gary he said: “I was nominated for the work I do within the local Autism Academy, Autism support for Allerdale and Copeland alongside the work I do for the Reds”.

At Borough Park, Gary can often be found manning the Turnstiles, whilst the away days means all hands to action as Gary volunteers with everything from kit support to helping the media team set their equipment up.

We are all proud of Gary’s hard work and the very well deserved recognition he’s received, we can’t wait to see what he can accomplish in the future.
