Virtual draw reaches 50

The Workington AFC Supporters Club fundraising initiatives include the online ‘Virtual half-time draw’, this draw allows supporters, some of whom are unable to attend matches, to support the club and help raise valuable funds.

The draw dates back to August 2020 when the Reds were to hold a behind closed door friendly against Carlisle United. Due to Covid restrictions the friendly was cancelled but the draw was held with an impressive 616 tickets sold.

At half-time of the Boxing Day Kidsgrove Athletic game the draw was made for the 50th ‘Virtual half-time draw’ with the long time supporter and regular participant winning this landmark draw.

The total funds raised so far is just over £4,800 and the Supporters Club would like to thank all the participants over the last 50 draws and would like your support in the future.
