Tad trophy date
Having emerged 2-0 winners in the inaugural meeting against Tadcaster Albion at the weekend, Reds will make the reverse journey on Tuesday for the delayed FA Trophy First Qualifying Round tie.
It is unlikely that Danny Grainger will be able to name an unchanged team as one or two players might not be able finish work in time for the 3pm departure.
Regardless, Reds will be hoping to make progress in competition as they make a first ever visit to the picturesque Global Stadium. Prize money for the winners of this round is £2,450 with the losers compensated to the tune of £800.
The winners will then head for an away tie at Leek Town on Saturday but, if Tuesday’s encounter results in a draw, it will be back to Borough Park for the replay and the third meeting between the two in eight days.
If Reds lose at the Ings Lane ground, they will go to Widnes on Saturday for the schedule league fixture.
Probably best to forget about all the potential permutations for Saturday, until the Tad tie is completed.
