Tad double header
Reds will host Tadcaster Albion in the inaugural fixture between the clubs on Saturday and then will meet them for a second time on Tuesday.
First up is the League encounter at Borough Park (3pm) followed by a trip to Yorkshire on Tuesday (7.45pm) for the protracted FA Trophy tie.
The League clash is the BetVictor North West Division match-of-the-day with table toppers Reds hosting third place Tad, a mouth-watering clash before a fully-opened Borough Park.
Danny Grainger’s side have averaged two points a game so far but Albion are only four point behind and have three games in hand. It is the top scorers, Workington, versus the league’s best defence, Tadcaster.
Grainger will be without experienced duo Brad Carroll and Gari Rowntree, both out with long-term injuries, but will be able to include new signings Millenic Alli, a scorer in the Cumberland Cup on his debut on Wednesday, and Jordan Little.
And when the dust has settled on Saturday’s encounter, both teams will prepare to it all again at Ings Lane for the Second Qualifying Round tie in the Trophy and if that ends in a draw the replay will be back in west Cumbria next Saturday.
