SIGNING: Brandon Robertson becomes signing number four
We are delighted to announce the signing of Brandon Robertson on a dual registration with Wetheriggs United!
Robertson, now 22, was with our reserves in his younger years but is now back amongst the senior setup at Borough Park.
The attacking-midfielder/winger has recently impressed for the Westmorland League outfit, based in Castletown, Penrith, and the local lad will remain at the fellow red and whites while signed on as a Red.
Speaking after he put pen to paper tonight, Robertson said: “Yeah, I’m delighted!
“It’s really good, I haven’t really played for a while so I’m just trying to get back into it.
“I’ll just be trying to get better and better to, hopefully get into the starting lineup.”
Given the dual registration, Robertson explained his targets for the immediate future.
“Basically, I’ll be trying to work my way into the squad, one training session at a time.
“When I’m not getting minutes here, I can get minutes at Wetheriggs.”
Although he knows a few of the first-team squad well, particularly Robbie Hebson, our latest addition has clearly fitted into the group.
“It’s been sound,” he revealed. “All the lads have been bang on.”
Finally, Robertson already has two Borough Park appearances under his belt and felt right at home, saying: “I’ve enjoyed it, it’s been really good.
“It’s good to get on the scoresheet as well against Cleator Moor Celtic and to come on against Lancaster City.”
Welcome, Brandon!
