Scott Allison cashes in with hat-trick and fans donation

Reds’ latest hat-trick hero Scott Allison not only grabbed three goals in the win over Clitheroe yesterday, but also a £250 cash prize.

Allison’s three goals, along with last week’s hat-trick scorer Brad Carroll’s strike – all scored in the first half – helped Reds to a 4-1 victory.

Following Borough Park getting a new set of goals in the summer, various supporters pledged money for certain milestones.

Dav Symington took home £100, as he was first to hit the back of the net on the opening day, and six months later, ‘The Ginger Messi’ was awarded £250 for the first hat-trick on BP turf.

His trio of goals, scored inside 43 minutes, puts him top of the North West Division’s goalscoring chart with 20.

He sits three ahead of 17-goal second-placed Ramsbottom United striker Nic Evangelinos, and is pole position to get the first round in on the first-team lads’ next night out.

Reds return to Borough Park on Tuesday evening for an Integro League Cup quarter-final clash against Ossett United, kick-off 19:45 – weather permitting.

On Saturday, Brighouse Town come to West Cumbria for another huge league clash, kick-off 3pm.
