Robbie’s return
Prior to Thursday’s training session, manager Danny Grainger announced that Robbie Hebson would be returning to the club.
Robbie (pictured) originally joined Reds towards the end of the 2013-14 campaign, served the club for the next three seasons before enjoying a successful two year stint with hometown club, Penrith.
He did particularly well during the ’15-16 season scoring nine goals, including his first hat-trick in a red shirt in an FA Youth Cup tie. The reward was a first team call-up which eventually led to his first Northern Premier League goal in a 1-1 home draw against Rushall Olympic.
And three years ago, Robbie turned out in the Evo-Stik Premier Division Play-off Final at Salford City, playing much of the game after replacing Joe McGee as a substitute.
In his first spell at Borough Park, Robbie made twelve starts for the seniors plus a further 42 appearances via the bench.
Robbie was one of a handful of players invited to pre-season training and has impressed in every session so far.
