Reds will play their first game in Runcorn for thirty eight years on Saturday when they take on the Linnets in BetVictor North West action (3pm).

We played four times at the old Canal Street ground in the late seventies/early eighties but never won or scored there.

That was against the original Runcorn club whose supporters formed the new Runcorn Linnets when the former folded.

But Saturday’s game will take place at the Millbank Stadium so a new venue and new opponents as far as Reds are concerned.

They have made a steady start to the season and are currently mid-table having won two, drawn one and lost one of their opening four fixtures.

This game has been brought forward, following Linnets and Reds exit from the FA Cup, and was originally scheduled for next month.
