Reds strike new shirt sponsorship deal

One of the world’s leading sports pitch providers will have its name on the shirts of Workington Reds next season.

SIS Pitches, which recently announced a £1.8 million investment at its factory in Maryport, won the right to be a shirt sponsor through an ingenious fundraising draw.

Seventy-two companies paid £100 to enter the draw, with the winner revealed live on Facebook.

SIS Pitches, a Cumbrian firm which designs, constructs, installs and maintains synthetic, natural and hybrid pitches across the world, will now be the sponsor for the 2019-20 season, as Reds aim to bounce back under new boss Danny Grainger.

We were overwhelmed by the number of local companies who took part in the draw.

We are delighted that SIS Pitches won this and look forward to a successful partnership with them.

We are also pleased to renew our association with D Tolson & Sons, who now become club sponsors and will have their name on the back of the shirts.

SIS Pitches is a global company which manufactures high quality synthetic turf on the Glasson Industrial Estate in Maryport.

Among the firm’s many high profile clients, SIS Pitches constructed and installed SISGrass hybrid pitches used at six of the 2018 World Cup venues in Russia.

In addition to local projects at Carlisle United and Lakes College, SIS Pitches has also worked on pitches for some of the UK’s top football clubs including Manchester City, Manchester United, Norwich City, West Ham United and Derby County.

We’re pleased to have won this sponsorship with the Reds. We’re proud to support a local team and we wish them all the best for the upcoming season.
