Reds host Albion

Reds are back in Evo-Stik Premier Division action on Tuesday (7.45pm) when they host the only team they haven’t met this season, Witton Albion.

This is the first of Reds’ games in hand and is the re-arranged fixture that was postponed four months ago.

Albion, managed by Carl Macauley, are sitting comfortably in mid-table with thirty eight points obtained from twenty eight games played. Their away record is impressive with seven wins recorded so far.

And their overall record against Workington has been very good over the years so another tough ninety minutes ahead, no doubt.

Last season, we met three times with Albion drawing at Borough Park in the league and then inflicting a 1-0 defeat upon us in the return at Wincham Park. The other meeting was in the FA Trophy in which we emerged 4-0 winners.

Lee Andrews and Steven Rudd reported a clean bill of health after Saturday’s home defeat by Basford United and name the same seventeen man squad for the first of three consecutive Tuesday fixtures.
