Reds and Delicious team up for fundraising steak nights

Enjoy a steak and a couple of glasses of red win with the Reds!

Workington AFC’s first-team are taking the initiative and are supporting fundraising efforts to further improve the Borough Park playing surface.

The squad are hosting three fund raising Steak Nights at Delicious, Ramsay Brow, Workington.

They commence at 18:00 after the next three home Saturday fixtures – regardless of the weather!

• Saturday March 7 vs Brighouse Town

• Saturday March 21 vs Runcorn Linnets

• Saturday April 11 vs City of Liverpool

£25-per-person for a two-course steak meal with two drinks. There will be a vegetarian option available.

First-team captain Conor Tinnion said:

“We wanted, as a squad, to show our appreciation for all the hard work that goes into giving us one of the best pitches in the lower leagues.

“We are all aware that extreme weather has become the norm in the last few seasons and that we need some radical investment to combat that.

“More importantly, we are a true community club, and we need to find a way to make our pitch available for our other teams to use, more often.

“Raising money, while eating steak ; sounds like win-win to me!”

The venue:

After opening last year Delicious has quickly established itself as a quality takeaway supplier, earning some great reviews along the way.

It is now looking to develop the restaurant along the same lines. They are hoping to showcase their cuisine whilst helping the Reds raise money for their good cause.
