PRESENTATION NIGHT: Girls are loud
Reds Ladies know how to play football and they certainly know how to party with the squad, manager, officials, friends and family celebrating a highly satisfactory season on the pitch with an enjoyable presentation evening.
The fun-loving girls got the evening underway with their various presentations, distributed some wonderful prizes from a magnificent fund raising raffle then danced (and drank) the night away at a packed Workington Legion.
Manager Paul Mackenzie paid tribute to the many people involved behind the scenes then thanked the squad for their superb efforts in Division One North of the North West Women’s Regional League.
The ‘Fun Award’ was the first presentation with Hayley Bracken and Naomi Foster receiving a giant dummy each for their persistent moaning, lengthy arguments and debate throughout the season.
It was then down to the serious business and Sydney Bragg was invited to the stage to receive the Young Player of the Year award.
Hayley Bracken scored 25 goals during a highly successful personal campaign and collected the Golden Boot for finishing top scorer.
Next-up was Naomi Foster who collected the coveted Players’ Player of the Year trophy.
The ever reliable Chloe Henderson was rightly honoured when she collected the Manager’s Player of the Year statuette.
And Hayley Bracken returned to the stage one more time collecting the Player of the Year memento.
Long term sponsors, Paul and Janice Moore, made the presentations with all four trophy recipients warmly applauded by their team mates.
- Reds Ladies would like to thank all their sponsors, supporters, and friends for their backing over the past nine months and the many local firms and businesses for donating such a wonderful array of prizes for the raffle.
