PLAYER UPDATE: Jim Atkinson is a red

We are delighted that we can announce Jim Atkinson will be staying at Workington Reds for another campaign.

Jim said, “An easy decision for me to stay with the return of Danny as manager. I like to play quick attacking football, which I know we did under him the previous year.

Hopefully we can go one further this year in a difficult league and give the fans what they deserve. I’m looking forward to getting the ball rolling already!”

Danny Grainger commented, “Jim was a huge success in my first spell as manager and I’m hoping he can have the same impact again.

He is very important to the way we play and has a huge impact on the team on and off the pitch.”
