PLAYER SIGNING: Dubliner Devitt becomes a Red
Danny Grainger has given his injury-hit squad a boost after adding Jamie Devitt to the group.
The attacking midfielder, 33, has agreed a deal to the end of the season and has been training with the squad in recent weeks.
He began his distinguished career with Hull City and has also been employed by Chesterfield, Morecambe, Carlisle United, Blackpool and Barrow before ending his EFL days at the end of last season following a second stint at Brunton Park.
In addition, he has spent loan periods with seven other clubs, some of them twice, amassing nearly 400 appearances in the process. Jamie has scored over fifty career goals, many falling into the spectacular category.
He considered his time at Carlisle United as probably the best period of his career and said his strong friendship with Grainger was a factor in him joining the Reds.
Grainger is delighted to be re-united with his former team mate saying, “Once we get him up to speed, he will be a great asset to the squad and provide more competition for a shirt on matchday,”
