On the road

For the fourth successive Saturday Reds will be on the road with Mossley the destination for BetVictor North West action (3pm).

And Reds will have a more difficult game on their hands than Tuesday’s demolition of Kendal Town.

Mossley have won both their home games so far and would appear stronger at Seel Park than on the road where they have obtained one point from three matches.

Although they haven’t played each other in league competition for two decades, Mossley have much the superior head-to-head record overall.

Danny Grainger’s main concern is the injuries to the two Kellys – Ash and Jay – and Liam Brockbank with the depth of the squad tested in recent weeks.

Reds played at Mossley just over a year ago, winning 2-1 there in a pre-season friendly.
