NCS volunteers give a helping hand

A team of young volunteers were giving a welcome helping hand today helping to spruce up the stadium ahead of the forthcoming season.

The volunteers, participants in the National Citizens Service, will be back down at down at Borough Park tomorrow.

NCS is a programme open to all teenagers aged 15-17 to discover who they are and what they can do.

The National Citizens Service is Royal Charter body, achieving security as a national institution.  For almost a decade the NCS have been working with local businesses, youth centres, football clubs and grassroots initiatives.

NCS was initially founded to help young people achieve their potential and build bridges between communities. First piloted with 158 participants in 2009, last year nearly 100,000 young people took part with almost half a million since the first programme was launched.

The club would like to thank them all for their valuable assistance.
