Recap
Reds returned to County League action and encountered a spot of bother when they took on unbeaten Aspatria in a Premier Division clash.
They conceded two penalties during the game but still managed to collect a hard-earned point. Brad Barwise and Owen Birkett conceded the second half penalties and whilst Andrew Trestianu converted the first, his second spot kick was kept out by Reds’ ‘keeper, Aaron Lister.
Lister (inset) actually emerged as Reds’ ‘man-of-the-match’ with a string of fine saves including one in each half which came into the spectacular category.

Reds had gone in front just before half time when Tyler Harrell got on the end of Lister’s long clearance to steer home Reds’ opener. They created several other chances but all were squandered and, ultimately, it was Lister’s saves at the other end which earned a welcome draw on a ground where they have lost heavily in recent seasons.
Reds are away, again, this week when they travel to Whitehaven Miners Social.
