MATCH REPORT: Workington Reds Ladies  0-0  Morecambe Ladies

Goals are proving hard to come by this season for Reds Ladies with just seven netted in their nine league games to date.

They, along with neighbours Carlisle United, are the lowest scorers in the division but, despite the paucity of goals, they remain in 5th position in Division One North.

And although they are failing to score at one end of the pitch, they are doing their bit defensively and have been difficult to break down in all of their matches to date.

Reds did enough to win their latest match at Derwent Park but had to settle for a point by the finish after failing to get the ball past Morecambe’s ‘keeper, Erin Lightfoot.

Opposite number, Laura Miller would have been equally pleased to keep a clean sheet, her second in a row on home soil.

They will have to be defensively solid next week when they travel to Haslingden Girls & Ladies, currently the second highest scorers in the division.

Team: Laura Miller, Sophie Birkett, Naomi Foster, Alice Kemp, Eleanor McDonald, Linzi Donaldson, Ellie Ritchie, Natalie Hooper, Emi Rudd, Hannah Geen, Morgan McGrady.  Substitutes – Kacey Rodgers, Sydney Bragg, Leah Cottier, Zara Sandelands.
