MATCH REPORT: Workington Development 5-1 Carlisle City Development

After a disappointing start in their County League opener, Reds got their first points of the season after a convincing performance against their City counterparts.

It was fairly even for the opening quarter of an hour but Reds opened the scoring mid-way through the first period. They established an unassailable 4-0 lead before the visitors reduced the arrears through a Nathan Cox penalty.

Sharing the goals for Reds were Tyler Harrell, Luke Knowles, Evan Stephenson (inset), Alfie Scofield and Harry Watson.

It will be Carlisle opposition again next week with the young Reds set to play Unisun Athletic.
