MATCH REPORT: Radcliffe Women 4-2 Workington Reds Ladies
Reds came from behind to establish a narrow lead only to concede three goals in the second half and return home pointless.
Kimberley Tyson had opened the scoring for the hosts but Reds were back on terms, after an even first half, with Morgan McGrady equalising thanks to her first goal of the season.
And ten minutes after the restart it was Workington who scored again via a set piece. Sophie Birkett applied the finish following a freekick and Reds were in front for the first time.
The home side’s Anna Keeling then took centre stage and her two goals swung the game in Radcliffe’s favour.
Reds kept pushing for a third to restore parity but it was the hosts who secured the points, scoring a fourth a quarter of an hour from time through Hollie Burke.
Hannah Ridgewell was nominated as Reds’ player-of-the-match.
Reds are on the road again next week with a league fixture at Penwortham Town.
