MATCH PREVIEW: Taming the Tigers

Reds will make their first trip to Worksop for over seventeen years on Saturday in what will be the penultimate away game of the season.

And they will be hoping for some kind of redemption after a miserable Easter weekend as they attempt to tame the Tigers on their own patch.

Craig Parry’s side are still very much in the hunt for a play-off berth and have games in hand on some of those above them in the Premier Division table.  They have only failed to score once at The Windsor Foodservice Stadium and have netted four goals on three occasions, five goals in one game and even a ‘seven’ yet, bizarrely, have scored two fewer league goals than Workington’s 64!

Back in December, the teams shared six goals at Borough Park but Town squandered a 3-1 goal lead that night as two late goals salvaged an unlikely point for Reds.

Ahead of Saturday’s game on the 3G surface at Babbage Way, Town are in 7th position whilst Reds languish seventeen points adrift in 15th.

The clubs have met over fifty times in the past, in various competitions, with nothing between them in the series.  Town have won twenty-one times, so have Reds with ten matches resulting in draws.
