MATCH PREVIEW: Reds add youth and experience

Chris Willcock has boosted his squad ahead of Saturday’s re-arranged home match against Market Drayton Town (3pm) by adding youth and experience to the group.

They have taken Whitehaven based Keelan Leslie (18) on a month’s loan from Carlisle United and signed the vastly experienced Paul Marshall (32) on a non-contract basis from Radcliffe.

The two midfielders will go straight into the depleted squad for the NPL West Division fixture against a Shropshire side, making their first ever visit to Borough Park.

Leslie hasn’t had much game time with Carlisle recently after missing a chunk of pre-season through injury.

Marshall, whose previous clubs include Aberdeen, Port Vale and Rochdale, has a wealth of NPL experience having served a host of clubs at our level.

Reds went top of the Division after Monday’s impressive win at Clitheroe but the manager will guard against complacency when the first timers visit Cumbria.

Market Drayton have won one and lost four of their opening five matches and are currently 17th in the table.

Tickets will be available from the office up to kick-off time.
