MATCH PREVIEW: North Derbyshire next stop
Workington’s unbeaten run will be put to the test on Saturday (3pm) when they travel to play Glossop North End, a club close to Chris Willcock’s heart.
Chris enjoyed great success in his four seasons at Surrey Street winning a league title and taking the team to Wembley for the 2015 Vase final.
There will be no sentiment, though, and Chris will be keen for a return to winning ways after the disappointing home draw v. 1874 Northwich last week.

That draw and Mossley’s midweek victory over Leek Town saw Reds dislodged from top spot albeit on goal difference. They have amassed 24 points to date compared to Glossop’s seven from their opening eleven fixtures.
Twelve months ago, Reds were involved in a tough battle against North End in an FA Trophy tie and, like we are at present, went into the game beset with injury problems. Conor Tinnion secured a hard fought win, bagging the only goal after only five minutes.
Playing for us in that game was Louis Potts and he since become a Glossop player. It will be the first of two games on the road with Reds travelling to Warrington Rylands in a re-arranged league game on Tuesday.
