MATCH PREVIEW: Improving Ossett host Reds
After a tough start to the 2020-21campaign, Ossett United appear to have turned a corner with results starting to improve. Last time out, they performed well against unbeaten Marske United and were considered unfortunate not to obtain maximum points.

On Saturday (3pm) they host Reds who will welcome Jim Atkinson back to the squad after his absence in midweek whilst skipper Conor Tinnion and Dav Symington’s progress will be reassessed before kick-off.
Manager Danny Grainger is preparing for a tough game against Wayne Benn’s outfit, despite them currently languishing in 16th position. “It will be a difficult game for sure and we know the league has improved vastly since last season and Ossett are now up and running after a difficult start,” he said.
Benn enjoyed a good playing record against Workington but saw his Ossett side lose three times to Reds last season. A league double (4-2 away, 2-0 at home) was supplemented with another 2-0 victory in the League Cup.
That will count for nothing on Saturday, though, with both squads having been tweaked for the better during recent months.
For those supporters unable to attend, coverage will be provided by the Live Scoreboard facility, via the website, with updates throughout BBC Radio Cumbria’s Sport programme.
