MATCH PREVIEW: Home match for Reuben

Reds make their longest trip of the season on Saturday as Northern Premier League football stutters back into life, post Lockdown 2.

They make the 160 mile journey to Brighouse Town for a first ever visit to the Yorkshire Payments Stadium.  Last season’s visit didn’t happen because of the country’s first lockdown and Saturday’s game will go ahead before home fans only.

So, the history of this fixture covers just one previous meeting – the Borough Park clash in March which Reds won 3-1.

Dav Symington Scott Allison and Millenic Alli scored the Workington goals with Reece Kendall briefly getting Town back into contention with a well taken equaliser.

Reuben Jerome has been associated with Brighouse in the past and made a sensational start with them four years ago, scoring a hat-trick on his debut.  He will appreciate the short journey to a ground he knows well instead of making the long trek up to Cumbria.

Danny Grainger will assess the squad before kick off with several players hoping to return to action after missing the friendly against Penrith last week.
