Man of the match Liam Brockbank is ‘enjoying his football at Reds’.

Liam Brockbank says he’s ‘really enjoying his football at Reds’ having earned another Man of the Match award in yesterday’s stalemate at home to Marine.

Liam Brockbank is pictured being presented with his man of the match memento by John Golding, Jeff Brice, Graeme Young and Dave Morrison.

The left-back, who earned his third MOTM accolade of the season and his first at Borough Park, was up and down the flank with tenacity, coming close on numerous occasions to helping break the deadlock.

The Merseyside opposition has done their homework on Reds and 0-0 was considered a fair result by many, leading Brockbank to praise the visitors post-match.

They’re obviously going to be up there. They’re a good team.

Whether we were at our best today, it’s debatable.

Regardless of the result, the former Carlisle United academy member will have been pleased with his personal display and won out in stiff competition for the sponsors’ award.

It’s always appreciated.

I enjoyed getting the award from the people who gave me it but I’d have preferred the three points.

Having been called up to England’s youth futsal side back in September and playing the vast majority of matches in both the league and cup competition this season, Brockbank has gained plaudits and popularity amongst the Borough Park faithful.

533 yesterday, another whopping attendance, witnessed his performance, and he himself is loving life in the Bet Victor NPL.

I’m really enjoying my football at Reds and just hoping to continue it.

I couldn’t really ask for much more, but if we keep winning it’ll only get better.

Reds will be back at Borough Park for a big game next Saturday, hosting Conference North side Farsley Celtic in the third Buildbase FA Trophy qualifying round.
