LOAN SIGNING: Carlisle ‘keeper joins Reds

We are delighted to announce the work experience loan signing of Carlisle United youth goalkeeper Isaac Robinson.

The 18-year-old second-year stopper has gone straight into today’s matchday squad for our NPL North West opener at Pickering Town.

Robinson has regularly trained with the Blues’ first-team and was part of the senior squad for a number of friendlies during the summer.

Former Red Gav Skelton, assistant manager at Brunton Park, said: “We all saw what happened with Workington last season so Isaac knows he’s going to a club that has only one thing in mind, and that’s promotion.

“With it being a work experience arrangement there’s no pressure on him, us, or Workington, and he can still train with us and work with Danny [Grainger] as required.

“He’ll be in an environment today where the Reds will be looking to get off to a good start, so this will be another excellent part of his learning curve.”

Welcome, Isaac!
