Knock-out football on the agenda
Reds can forget about league points for ninety minutes on Tuesday (7.45pm) when they welcome Mossley for the latest instalment of Integro League Cup action.
And manager Danny Grainger will make changes to the starting XI, giving game time to some of those who have been on the bench in recent weeks.
Mossley became the first team to inflict a league defeat upon Reds back in September but are now languishing in mid-table having lost eight games to date. They haven’t won an away game in the league but did win at City of Liverpool in the previous round of the League Cup.
The clubs have met before in the competition, at the semi-final stage in fact. They beat us home and away in the two-legged tie during the ’81-82 campaign for an aggregate 6-1 score line.
Reds emerged 6-1 winners over Kendal Town in the First Round.
