Home tie in Trophy

After three successive away draws in the FA Trophy, Reds’ excellent win at Leek Town on Saturday has been rewarded with a home tie in the Third Round Qualifying.

They will host National North high fliers, Farsley Celtic, at Borough Park on Saturday week.

Celtic have made an impressive start to the new season following their promotion last term and are currently 6th at Step 2. Last season, they inflicted a league double over Reds, winning 1-0 at Borough Park and 2-0 in the return as they finished champions after amassing 90 points.

But Reds are in a better place than they were last season and it is a tie they can look forward to with optimism.
