Home draw in Cumberland Cup
Reds will have another home draw in the Cumberland Cup following their victory over Moor Row in the First Round.
They will play the winners of the re-scheduled Windscale v. Braithwaite first round tie, abandoned last week because of a floodlight failure at the Falcon Ground complex.
Windscale were 4-0 up when the original game was called off after the lights went out for the third and final time.
The tie is likely to be played on Wednesday 30 October but that will have to be ratified when the opposition is confirmed.
Workington was the penultimate ball pulled out of the bag in Thursday’s draw guaranteeing a second successive home match.
Full draw:
Bransty Rangers or Mirehouse v. Workington Athletic
Keswick v. Aspatria
Crown Newlaithes v. Cleator Moor Celtic
Carlisle City v. Whitehaven
Wigton v. Whitehaven Social or Kirkoswald
Gosforth v. Penrith
Carlisle United (holders) v. Northbank
Workington v. Windscale or Braithwaite
Closing date for the Second Round is 2 November
