Home draw in County Cup
Reds were handed a home draw when the Cumberland Cup 2nd Round ties were pulled from the hat on Thursday.
They will play Wearside League outfit Windscale at Borough Park on an evening before 12 November.
The full draw reads:
Carlisle City (holders) v. Maryport Athletic
Carlisle United v. Bransty Rangers
Cockermouth or Aspatria v. Keswick
Langwathby United v. Greystoke
Penrith v. Gosforth
Whitehaven v. Kirkoswald
Wigton Harriers v. Unisun Athletic
Workington v. Windscale
Workington last met Windscale in the corresponding round of the competition three years ago. It finished 3-2 in our favour, somewhat fortunately, but only after Windscale squandered a last-minute penalty.
Nathan Waterston netted twice for Reds that night with debutant Millenic Alli scoring his maiden goal for the club in between. Matthew Metcalf and Matt Sempill responde for the Falcon Ground outfit.
