Good-bye skipper
The funeral of Bobby Brown took place on Monday, with the former Reds skipper laid to rest at Salterbeck Cemetry.

A small gathering of former team mates from the sixties, two club directors, a number of supporters and local journalist John Walsh joined members of Bobby’s family for a touching service at the church of Our Lady and St. Michael in Workington.
Bobby, a true Workington Reds legend, passed away on 19 June aged 87 and, fittingly, a red and white scarf draped the coffin.Bobby’s eldest grand-daughter read out a beautiful poem during the service with Bobby, junior, then delivering a warm tribute to his father.
